Helium Liquefier System (HLS) The Model 1410 system is used primarily to produce liquid helium. It can also be use as a closed cycle 4.6k refrigerator. The principal components of the system are a single compressor module and a liquefier module. These components are interconnected with simple, room-temperature piping and electrical cables. The output component is a coaxial delivery tube connecting to dewar. The liquefaction rate of the Model 1410 is a function of compressor capacity and the optional use of liquid nitrogen for precooling. A built-in, automatic purification system allows the economical production of liquid helium using recycled air-contaminated helium gas. Optional equipment is available to expand or compliment a system. The major items are: additional compressors, helium purifier, storage tanks for collecting pure helium gas, gasbags and high pressure recovery compressors for collecting and storing impure helium gas. Liquid helium is applied for maglev vehicle、MRI、SQUID、PPMS、superconducting magnet、superconducting accelerator. Beside NCKU, we also provide the service of helium liquefaction for five national universities in Southern Taiwan. |
